This is a Concrete Insulated Form (ICF) house.

This wall system in this house is constructed using six inches of polystyrene on the outside and four inches on the inside with poured concrete in the middle. At present the most suitable finishing application for the external walls on this house type is coloured render.
In this particular project the planning conditions stipulated a limestone stone design with a brick band. The process needed to apply natural stone would have been extremely expensive and time consuming, BUT Likestone finished two houses in ten days creating an authentic looking, cost effective and professional alternative. Flex-c-ment Process.

• 1. Because there is movement expected in these houses we cover all the area with fibreglass mesh before we put on our ten millimetre scratch coat.
• 2. We then, plaster on twenty millimetre of coloured Flex-c-ment and print the surface.
• 3. The next step involves hand carving out the stone and brick design.
• 4. Finally the walls are sealed with waterproof sealer.
